SiteKiosk: Bug Fix for critical error
On kiosk machines with SiteKiosk versions earlier than 8.7 under Windows 7, the system will in most cases become unusable after Internet Explorer 10 is installed. The affected SiteKiosk versions are 7.1 - 8.6. Any Windows 7 computers that have automatic updates enabled will be affected because Internet Explorer 10 is installed automatically as part of Windows updates.

All software resellers are strongly encouraged to forward this information to the operators of the kiosks. PROVISIO has no information about the end user and therefore cannot directly inform them!

Description
I receive the attached script error and cannot proceed any further in SiteCafe when I am trying to add or manage users, prepaid tickets, or view turnover statistics. I have tried re-installing the OS from scratched and also searched the support forum without avail. Any suggestions on getting this to work? Thanks

that error is not reproducible.

What operating system are you using?
Did you do a default SiteCafe installation or did you make any custom adjustments?
Did you also install SiteKiosk on the same machine? If you did, which SiteKiosk version is it and did you install it before or after SiteCafe?

Hi, the operating system is Windows Vista SP2 with default SiteCafe installation (no Hotspot/TicketStation). SiteKiosk is also installed, it is version 8.1 b640. I installed it following SiteCafe as per the instructions. Prior to SiteKiosk installation, I was able to use SiteCafe without any errors.

when you want to use SiteCafe and SiteKiosk on the same machine you need to follow specific instructions regarding the installation order of the applications. Thanks for the clarification; I had not noticed the difference between SiteCafe versions 1 and 2 in the instructions. I am removing and re-installing SiteCafe. Is it possible to skip the registration step to see if I can get it to work before registering?

Hello,
if you skip that step you will not be able to properly register SiteKiosk afterwards with uninstalling and installing it in the correct order again. At this moment it is unfortunately not possible otherwise.
