SiteKiosk: Bug Fix for critical error
On kiosk machines with SiteKiosk versions earlier than 8.7 under Windows 7, the system will in most cases become unusable after Internet Explorer 10 is installed. The affected SiteKiosk versions are 7.1 - 8.6. Any Windows 7 computers that have automatic updates enabled will be affected because Internet Explorer 10 is installed automatically as part of Windows updates.

All software resellers are strongly encouraged to forward this information to the operators of the kiosks. PROVISIO has no information about the end user and therefore cannot directly inform them!

VoIP phone service (Skype/SIP)

With the SiteKiosk Plus and Pay versions, you may allow users of the kiosk to make free or paid phone calls via the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Users will be able to initiate Computer to Phone calls through your SIP-Gateway account. The other option is to use the built in Skype Kit which allows the user to make phone calls, send sms messages and chat with other Skype Users. Programmers have the option to expand on the standard VoIP features in software by utilizing SiteKiosk Object Model.

Skype and SIP-Gateway

All you need for using SiteKiosk's VoIP solution is a valid Skype or SIP-Gateway account.

Service phone numbers

SiteKiosk also gives you the option of displaying 10 different service phone numbers to which you can assign names and phone numbers of your choosing.

Video telephony

SiteKiosk supports video telephony via Skype. This allows you to deploy kiosk terminals to be used as a virtual concierge or customer service/support stations.

Charging for phone services

You can set up a charge per minute similar to phone booths to bill for your phone and SMS service. You can specify one or several rates for each country.
