SiteKiosk: Bug Fix for critical error
On kiosk machines with SiteKiosk versions earlier than 8.7 under Windows 7, the system will in most cases become unusable after Internet Explorer 10 is installed. The affected SiteKiosk versions are 7.1 - 8.6. Any Windows 7 computers that have automatic updates enabled will be affected because Internet Explorer 10 is installed automatically as part of Windows updates.

All software resellers are strongly encouraged to forward this information to the operators of the kiosks. PROVISIO has no information about the end user and therefore cannot directly inform them!

Hello,

We've just installed SiteCafe and SiteKiosk, it seems to be ok, but we've a script error. (see in attached file).

We tried to use compatibility mode or administrator mode but nothing.

If installing SiteKiosk and SiteCafe on one and the same system you should follow the recommended installation sequence.

We've already do this steps :

SiteCafe 2.x / MyPublicHotSpot:
1. Install SiteKiosk first
2. Register SiteKiosk before installing SiteCafe 2.x
3. Install SiteCafe 2.x but do not install SiteCafe’s TicketStation under any circumstances

The only difference with your requirements is the version of NET (our is 4 and your's 2)

Which Internet Explorer Version is installed?
Which SiteCafe version and which SiteKiosk version did you install?

Hello,

All is installed on Windows 7 32bits version.

internet Explorer 8 or 9 is used.

Sitekiosk version : 7.8 with bundle payment
SiteCafe version : 2.6

We took the version direct on your download page.

I am sorry but it is not reproducible (Windows 7 32Bit system with IE9 .NET 1.1 and .NET4, SiteKiosk 7.8.332 and SiteCafe 2.6).

Did you make sure that you did not install SiteCafe’s TicketStation with SiteCafe?
What other software products are installed on your system (security tools, antivirus….)?
You might try if it works after a complete reinstallation of SiteCafe?
